Hand-coloured printed lithograph entitled Lilac, lithographed by Charles Joseph Hullmandel (1789-1850) after an original by Valentine Bartholomew (1799-1879). From Bartholomew's A Selection of Flowers Adapted Principally for Students, published in London by R. Ackermann in 1821-1822. Bartholomew's book includes 36 hand-coloured lithographs and is one of the first works to employ lithography for botanical illustration. Plate

Watercolour on board of a scene in the gardens at Dyffryn House, South Wales by Edith Helena Adie. Adie was born in London and studied at the Slade School of Art and the Royal Academy. She was a member of the New Watercolour Society specialising in landscapes and garden views. Adie also lived and painted in Bordighera, Italy. Her paintings of the gardens at Dyffryn House, were commissioned by the owner Reginald Cory (1871-1934) a passionate gardener and benefactor to horticultural causes. This painting is dated July 11th 1923

Watercolour and pencil on board entitled Rose Hoosier Beauty by Laurence Perugini and dated 1931. Perugini's family came to England from Florence, Italy and settled in the Chiswick area in 1882-3. Laurence Perugini later moved to Rye, Sussex and exhibited artworks there in the 1930s. He was awarded a Silver Grenfell Medal by the RHS
