Chrysanthemum December Gold
Watercolour and pencil on board entitled Chrysanthemum December Gold by Laurence Perugini and dated 1929. Perugini's family came to England from Florence, Italy and settled in the Chiswick area in 1882-3. Laurence Perugini later moved to Rye, Sussex and exhibited artworks there in the 1930s. He was awarded a Silver Grenfell Medal by the RHS

From Les Promenades de Paris, by Jean Charles Adolphe Alphand (1817-1891), published in Paris between 1867 and 1873. The work contains illustrations of a variety of aspects of the French capital, including views of historic Parisian gardens and portraits of some of the plants cultivated in them. [Plate 42]
